Careers at FiberEdge

Build the backbone of the AI era.

FiberEdge Services is building a high-performance field fiber team to support hyperscale data center and network infrastructure projects across the United States. We are looking for people who want to be part of a growing company from the ground floor, with strong pay, real benefits, and long-term stability.

Why FiberEdge?

Real benefits. Real stability. Real craft.

We value technicians who want consistency, respect, and the opportunity to grow. Not short-term gigs or unstable contract work.

Ground-floor opportunity

Join a fast-growing company where early team members help shape standards, processes, and culture.

Excellent pay + overtime

Strong base hourly rates with overtime pay that rewards effort and professionalism.

Paid bench time

Technicians are paid even when not deployed in the field, providing true W-2 stability.

Strong medical & dental

Affordable, comprehensive coverage designed for working professionals.

Travel that pays

Travel-heavy work with covered expenses, per diem, hotels, and well-planned projects.

Minimum-pay protections

Minimum-pay protections for eligible deployed personnel, so strong weeks are the norm and slow weeks are covered.

The Role, The Life

Why become a FiberEdge Optical Network Specialist?

Most people use AI. Very few people actually build the infrastructure that makes AI possible.

You aren't watching the AI infrastructure revolution happen. You're helping build it.

PURPOSE

Build the infrastructure powering AI

Work inside advanced data center environments helping build and maintain the fiber connecting massive compute networks.

SKILL

Learn a highly specialized trade

Fiber installation and management, dressing and remediation, connector inspection, MPO/MTP, OTDR and optical-loss testing, troubleshooting, and documentation. Portable skills across telecom and hyperscale computing.

PATH

Earn while learning

An attractive alternative to a traditional four-year college path. Work, travel, earn a strong income, and develop an advanced technical trade at the same time.

LIFESTYLE

Travel the country

Work in multiple states and data center markets rather than the same facility every day, with a fleet or rental vehicle provided for field assignments.

MENTORSHIP

Learn from experienced specialists

An apprenticeship-style environment where experienced technicians train newer specialists in the field on workmanship, testing, and professional standards.

CRAFT

Work that rewards craftsmanship

A beautifully dressed rack looks different from poor workmanship. You can literally stand back and see the quality of what you built.

Clear Advancement

A defined path forward.

Technicians advance by developing technical expertise, testing capability, troubleshooting ability, leadership, customer communication, and project ownership.

Applicant FAQ

Questions we hear a lot.

How much travel should I expect? +
This is a road-warrior role. Expect to travel approximately 90% or more, moving between data center markets as projects require. Hotels are company paid, per diem or meal allowances are provided, and transportation is covered through a FiberEdge fleet vehicle or rental vehicle depending on the assignment.
Do I need fiber experience to apply? +
No. We hire for mechanical aptitude, work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to travel, then train you in the field. Experienced fiber or data center technicians are also very welcome and can step into more senior work quickly.
What does training look like? +
Training is apprenticeship-style and happens on real projects. Experienced Optical Network Specialists teach proper workmanship, fiber handling, inspection and cleaning, testing techniques, troubleshooting, customer standards, and professional data center practices.
Is this a W-2 position with benefits? +
Yes. This is full-time W-2 employment with strong medical and dental coverage, overtime after 40 hours, and paid bench time between deployments, so you are paid even when not in the field.
What should my resume include? +
Keep it simple: work history, any hands-on technical or mechanical experience (fiber, telecom, electrical, construction, automotive, military, and similar backgrounds all translate well), education or certifications, and your current city. A short note about why traveling field work appeals to you helps too.
Where is the work located? +
Projects are located at hyperscale data center campuses across the United States, and assignments move with the work. FiberEdge is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, but you do not need to live in Dallas to join the field team.

The opportunity you've been waiting for.

Strong earnings, reliable benefits, paid bench time, and the chance to grow with a company supporting the fiber networks powering AI and cloud infrastructure.
